Public education is personal to me. I am a product of public schools, a mother of three children who went through Harford County Public Schools, and someone who has spent her life in service - as an Air Force veteran, a former federal employee, and now in healthcare.
I have also experienced firsthand what it means to fight for what is right. After losing my job through no fault of my own, I stepped deeper into the process and discovered something important: if I wanted to see real change, I needed to be part of making it happen.
I am running to be a voice for students, parents, educators, and our communities. I believe parents, teachers, and the school board function as a team - and when that team works together, our students win. Every child deserves access to a safe, inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education, and every educator deserves the support and resources to make that possible.
At the heart of my campaign are three commitments: student achievement, opportunity, and accountability. Every child in Harford County deserves to feel seen, supported, and prepared for their future.
I am a fighter. I am a servant. And I am ready to put that experience to work for the families of Harford County.
Every child in Harford County deserves a real shot at success - regardless of zip code, ability, or background. As a Board of Education member, I will champion policies that close opportunity gaps, support culturally responsive teaching, and ensure diverse hiring practices across our schools. Equity means directing resources where they are needed most. Inclusion means every student walks into school feeling safe, respected, and valued. As a Black woman, veteran, and mother, I have lived the difference inclusion makes - and I will fight for every family in Harford County.
Great schools run on great people - and great people deserve fair pay. I will fight to ensure that every teacher, paraprofessional, custodian, bus driver, cafeteria worker, and support staff member in Harford County earns a livable wage. These men and women show up every day to keep our schools running and our children safe, and their compensation must reflect that value.
When we invest in our educators and support personnel, we retain experienced talent, attract committed professionals, and build stronger schools for every student in Harford County.
